Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 29, 2026

Plain-language summary

  • We are committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, screen magnification, and other assistive technologies.
  • Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • If something on this site is hard to use, please tell us — email [email protected] or call (720) 790-3765. We aim to respond within five (5) business days.

1. Our commitment

Colorado Bear Heating & Air (“Colorado Bear,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying relevant accessibility standards across our website, online booking flow, and customer communications.

2. Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Our target is conformance with WCAG 2.2 at Level AA, and alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We treat WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our internal build standard and validate it with both automated tooling and human testing before release. Because the Site is continuously updated, we describe the current state as “partially conformant,” which means some parts of the content do not yet fully conform.

3. Measures we take to support accessibility

Colorado Bear Heating & Air takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of our website:

  • Include accessibility as part of our design and development process.
  • Use semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and landmark elements so assistive technologies can navigate the structure of every page.
  • Provide descriptive text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images.
  • Maintain keyboard operability for all interactive elements (navigation, forms, dialogs).
  • Maintain visible keyboard-focus indicators that meet WCAG 2.2 focus-appearance criteria.
  • Target color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
  • Use responsive layouts that work down to 320×256 px and support 200% browser zoom and 400% reflow without loss of content or functionality.
  • Provide a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
  • Respect the user’s prefers-reduced-motion setting; animations are reduced or removed when this setting is enabled.
  • Caption or transcribe pre-recorded video content where present.
  • Test with automated accessibility tooling (axe DevTools, Lighthouse) as part of our build pipeline, and conduct manual screen-reader and keyboard-only spot checks.
  • Train our development and content team on accessibility standards.

4. Compatibility with browsers and assistive technologies

Our website is designed to be compatible with current versions of the following assistive technologies:

  • NVDA and JAWS on Windows with Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox
  • VoiceOver on macOS Safari and on iOS Safari
  • TalkBack on Android with Google Chrome
  • Keyboard-only navigation in modern desktop browsers
  • Voice-control software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking, macOS Voice Control)
  • Browser zoom up to 400% and operating-system magnification

The website is not designed for assistive technologies that are no longer receiving security updates, or for Internet Explorer.

5. Technical specifications

Accessibility of Colorado Bear Heating & Air’s website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • WAI-ARIA
  • JavaScript (used progressively; core content and navigation remain available without JavaScript wherever feasible)

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

6. Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content on the website may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

  • Older customer photos and case-study images may lack descriptive alt text. We are remediating these as we identify them.
  • Third-party embedded content (for example, the Housecall Pro online booking widget, the Synchrony financing application, embedded Google Maps, embedded YouTube videos, and social-media embeds) is delivered by third parties and may not fully conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We are not able to control or modify the accessibility of these third-party components. If a third-party tool blocks you from completing a task, we will gladly assist you by phone at (720) 790-3765 or by email at [email protected].
  • PDF documents (such as warranty paperwork or maintenance plan agreements) may not be fully accessible. We can provide alternate formats on request.

7. Feedback and assistance

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Colorado Bear Heating & Air’s website. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, need information presented in an alternative format, or need help completing a task, please contact us. We aim to respond within five (5) business days.
